Our fire house is one of the most special party facilities you can find.  Shape and style have been chosen to help create an intimate atmosphere on every occasion

Lavo or firehouse.

Some prefer to call it a Lavo, others use the word firehouse.  We felt that we needed a gathering point and a centre for people to meet.  However this building turned out to be much more than this.  Built out of enormous logs this building is indeed a “monument” in its style.  The idea was a simple Lavo until we started decorating it.

High headroom, fireplace and rough tables.

In this building things are not quite as you expect them to be inside a Lavo.  Very little reminds you of a Spartan over night place for weary hunters and shepherds.  The first thing you notice is the size of the building.  The Lavo consists of one big room. The headroom is enormous, and the rough tables easily sit 45-50 people.

In the centre of the room there’s an open fireplace made of steatite which creates a very special atmosphere.  Underneath the ceiling we have installed a gigantic fan which brings out the smoke.  Only your imagination puts limit to what you can use this building for.

All kinds of equipment.

To be prepared for most occasions we have installed a 42” flat screen TV and even a DVD player.  We even offer a big stereo with mixer for two CD player and an MP 3 sound source.  Of course you’ll find a microphone and a loudspeaker system.  Underneath the roof we haven even installed a choice of disco lights.

If you feel like playing yourself we offer electric piano/organ and darts for those who are not so very musical.  There’s water installed in a small “self-service” bar solution and a big cool/freeze refrigerator.

Under floor-heating.

You need not necessarily light up the fireplace to keep up a good atmosphere.  We have installed under floor heating throughout the whole building.  So when the fireplace has not been lit up we have a “table solution” to put over it.  Then it works as a big laying in the centre of the room.

Around the Lavo we have built a big wooden patio, with comfortable outdoor furniture.  If you are one of the self-supporting kind we offer a number of outdoor gas grills and charcoal grills which can be placed and used on this patio.  Thus our guest can have a party both indoors and outdoors and in this way indeed experience the atmosphere at Utne.

To rent the Lavo costs just N.kr. 1750,- per night.  Then you are free to invite up to 15 persons.  If you have a great number of friends we charge another N.kr. 120,- per guest.  The room inside the Lavo can hold 45 – 50 people but the outdoor party can take a few more.

If you don’t feel like cleaning the next day we take care of this and we charge another N.kr. 300,- for this kind of service.  In addition to this there’s just gas consumption or firewood to be paid for.

Because our site usually has several other guests we expect silence within limits from 23.00 and the party should come to an end at 02.00.
